Humans + Zombies + 5K run = massive fun at The Zombie Run Dallas July 25 2014
When Human Movement Management needed to capture the essence of The Zombie Run in Dallas they tapped Corporate Video and Photo’s My Event Photography for the job. Over 1000 images later the staff of The Zombie Run was excited about the results.
The Zombie Run in Dallas was actually 2 runs in one. Both events were held back-to-back at Cousin’s Paintball in Forney. Each event was a 5K obstacle run with the added excitement of ZOMBIES!
The first, The Zombie Run Extreme, was a daylight spectacle, while The Zombie Run Black Ops was run at night. Both were well attended by hundreds of Humans and Zombies from Dallas and the surrounding area. There were only two ways to finish these events: INFECTED or SURVIVOR.
Zombies were stationed at various locations throughout the 3+ mile course – usually near other obstacles. Zombies were tasked with taking the lives of humans. Each human running the event was given two “life flags” to start the race. Removing these flags was the zombie’s mission in life… or is that afterlife… or death… or un-death… hmmmmm… Either way, to the zombies, life flags = brains… MMM MMM GOOD!
Much fun was had by all, even in the searing 100 degree heat. Here are a couple of the moments we managed to capture while we were there:
